Abstract

In August 2019 Singaraja City recorded inflation as high as 0.62 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI 2012 = 100) of 146.50. The calendar year inflation rate was recorded at 2.97 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (August 2019 against August 2018 or YoY) was recorded as high as 3.15 percent.

Inflation (m to m) is indicated by an increase in the index in seven expenditure groups, namely group VI (education, recreation, and sports) as high as 7.28 percent; group VII (transport, communication and financial services) as high as 0.72 percent; group IV (clothing) as high as 0.59 percent; group V (health) as high as 0.23 percent; group II (processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco) as high as 0.08 percent; group I (food ingredients) as high as 0.05 percent; and group III (housing, water, electricity and fuel) as high as 0.03 percent.
