Abstract

In June 2019 Denpasar City recorded an inflation of 0.04 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI 2012 = 100) of 132.73. The inflation rate for the calendar year June 2019 was 0.94 percent while the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2019 against June 2018 or YoY) was 2.15 percent.

Four expenditure groups recorded inflation (m to m), namely group IV (clothing) by 0.82 percent; group II (prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco) by 0.26 percent; group V (health) by 0.13 percent; and group III (housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel) by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, three expenditure groups recorded deflation, namely group I (food stuff) as deep as -0.23 percent; group VI (education, recreation and sports) as deep as -0.12 percent; and group VII (transport, communication and financial services as deep as -0.10 percent.
