Unemployment rate is one of the strategic indicators used to see the success of a region's development. The lower the unemployment rate, of course, indicates the success of a region. What is the unemployment rate this year? maybe that's a question we often hear, besides the question of economic growth.
But not many know how the unemployment rate is obtained. Some steps need to be done, so the unemployment rate can be obtained. One of the early stages is data collection, which in this case is through survey activities.
One survey whose results were used to estimate the unemployment rate was Sakernas. Why Sakernas? Of the many surveys that generate employment data, only Sakernas are designed specifically to collect data that can describe the general state of labor between enumeration periods. In general, the purpose of Sakernas data collection is to provide a sustainable data on the subject of employment. Specifically, to obtain information on the number of working population, unemployment and residents who have stopped / moved to work and its development at the district / city, provincial and national levels.
In the photo above, a February Sakernas enumeration was conducted in Baturinggit Village, Kubu Sub-District, Karangasem Regency. In Karangasem itself, the number of selected samples is 11 blocks (110 respondents) spread in almost all districts. This event was held from February 8, and ended on 28 February. And given the importance of this activity, it is hoped that community participation, by giving correct answers, if selected as a sample.
